Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV
Brownfields and closed landfills offer excellent opportunities for siting commercial and utility scale solar PV generating facilities because they are usually located in close proximity to distribution infrastructure and can provide substantial open land area that may otherwise not be developable. Future Energy Development works with clients to secure development rights, ensure ongoing NYSDEC maintenance obligations associated with brownfields and closed landfills are met, and ensure eligibility for tax credit incentives-particularly those available through the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.
