Waste-to-Energy

Innovative waste-to-energy and waste-to-fuel gasification technologies provide opportunities to substantially reduce land disposal of waste, utilize a domestic source of energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions with much less of an environmental impact than landfilling and traditional waste to energy technologies such as incineration.  Future Energy Development helps project developers identify project sites, navigate state and federal environmental review processes (SEQRA and NEPA), and obtain permits and funding.  While the federal Production Tax Credit for waste-to-energy projects expired in 2014, waste-to-energy technologies are eligible for accelerated (MACRS) asset depreciation and may be eligible for other incentives
